Tottenham in for Real Madrid ace Figo

Tottenham are chasing Real Madrid winger Luis Figo.

The Guardian says Real Madrid's desire to buy Patrick Vieira (Arsenal) and Michael Owen (Liverpool) has led to suggestions that they might consider offloading Figo.

But Spurs are aware they face obstacles that could make a deal extremely difficult.

Among those are financial issues: Figo earns more than £100,000 a week and is almost certain to command a transfer fee
