Tote Wants To Join Atletico, Claims His Dad

Atletico Madrid could capture Tote from city rivals Real, after the striker's father revealed that his son wants to join them.

Tote is desperate to leave the European champions at the end of this season after failing to start a league game this term.

Talks with Real Betis and Valladolid, where he spent a successful period on loan last season, broke down and now the player has revealed that he will definintely move away from the Bernabeu this summer.

Atleti president Jesus Gil suggested that the club may look to sign the disgruntled forward and Tote's dad, Marcelino Lopez, has now added fuel to the fire.

"My son wants to go to Atletico and now could be the time," Lopez, who acts as Tote's agent, explained. "If the possibility existed then we would be pleased hear what they have to say.

"I would personally be very pleased if he went to Atletico, because we are not talking about just any old team here," he enthused.

"I am sure that everyone would be pleased if Real wanted him to stay, but I am not sure that that is the case."

"Real know that every time he has been asked to do somehting then he done it without any problem."
