Tote Stays For Now

Tote has decided to stay at Real Madrid for the rest of the season after he turned down a loan offer from Real Betis.

After protracted negotiations failed, the 24-year-old striker will now wait until the summer before making his long-awaited exit from the Bernabeu.

"I am going to stay at Real Madrid and continue fighting," he comfirmed. "I am a member of the squad here and will do my best to impress the coach."

After failing to make a return to Valladolid at the beginning of the year, Tote re-opened talks with Real Betis after turning them down last summer.

But he was not happy when the Andalucians only wanted him on loan as a replacement for the injured Alfonso and instad held out for a permanent deal.

"In June I will see what offers are made and then I will have to decide which club I want to go to," he added.
