Suarez Writes Off Barcelona

Former Barcelona star Luis Suarez has claimed that his former side have absolutely no chance of winning this season's Champions League trophy.

Suarez, who is the only Spaniard ever to win the Balon D'Or in 1961, now works as a advisor to Inter president Massimo Moratti, believes that Barca's lack of stars will see them fail to even reach the final.

"It is impossible for Barcelona to win the Champions League now," he explained. "They may get to the semi finals, but not the final."

"The club used to have many stars and great players, but now the squad is full of very average people that will not be capable of winning this trophy."

Suarez went onto heap praise on the Catalans' rivals Real Madrid, but he also had a warning for their fans to enjoy this purple patch in the club's history.

"What Real Madrid have won in the last five years is almost unrepeatable," he continued.

"Their acheivements will only be full appreciated in 15 years or so, after they have gone through a long period of winning nothing."

"They are the best team and they are on top of everything and it has become normal for them to win the Champions League now."

"But just behind them are Milan, Juventus and Inter."
