Stuttgart star Gomez keen on Barcelona, Real Madrid

Stuttgart ace Mario Gomez admits he'd like to play in Spain.

The Germany international has a Spanish family background and said: "Clearly, I would like to one day play in Spain. Barcelona? Maybe, but Real Madrid are also a great club."

"Barcelona are my favourite team. But my Dad is from Madrid and my cousins from Granada."

Asked why he is playing for Germany and not Spain, Gomez added: "Nobody called me. My grandfather and my Dad are Spanish, but I was not born there."
