Stromsgodset teammates: Ronaldo spoke with Odegaard about Real Madrid

Stromsgodset teammates are excited for Martin Odegaard over his move to Real Madrid.

The teenager is expected to sign for Real tomorrow.

Martin Ovenstad and Gustav Wikheim, two of his current team-mates, were unable to contain their pride at Odegaard’s move when they spoke to Norwegian television station TV 2: "Last week, Martin was training with us and next week he will be training with Cristiano Ronaldo. We have to pinch ourselves, it will be great to tell my grandchildren that I have played in the same team as Martin Odegaard."

Wikheim added: "He said he spoke with Cristiano and he said: ‘In a couple of years I will stop scoring as many goals and you need to take over."

"He has promised to come and visit on his holidays and vice-versa. When you have a pal playing in Madrid you have no choice but to visit."
