The Premier League side have been strongly linked with the French international this summer, first with AS reporting earlier this month that Arsène Wenger was keen to make a £46 million bid for the 27-year-old.
Unreliable Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli was then quoted by the Daily Star saying that Karim Benzema had agreed a four-year contract worth around £6.3-per-season in North London.
More interesting developments have broken since Arsenal’s 2-0 loss at home to West Ham on Sunday, with the Daily Star citing ESPN presenter and long-time Real Madrid fan, Jeinny Lizarazo, claiming that the striker was due to fly-in to London this weekend for his medical with Arsenal.
