Standard Liege fullback Daniel Opare has no regrets leaving Real Madrid.

Ghana international Opare was brought to Europe by Real before eventually moving onto Standard.

He told Ghanasoccernet.com: "I will say my move from Real Madrid is the wisest decision I have taken in my career and I’m happy I did that."

"It has given me another opportunity to showcase my talent and what I can do. It has also given me a new lease on life and I’m enjoying my stay here."

Such has been Opare's form that the youngster has been linked with Liverpool and Chelsea this season.
