Spurs reach agreement on Morientes personal terms

Tottenham are still in for Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes.
The Spanish international's agent, Gines Carvajal, was given permission by Real to open talks with Spurs and the Guardian says a deal was struck over the player's personal terms.

The sticking point, however, remains Tottenham's method of payment for Morientes. The London club are insisting on a staggered arrangement, while Real want most of the fee paid up front.

Real have dropped their asking price, with a figure now being mentioned of £12 million.
