Spurs ponder £9M move for Real Madrid whiz Portillo

Tottenham are keen on Real Madrid wonder-kid Javier Portillo.

The teenage striker is rated the 'next Raul' by Spanish observers and is being chased by Spurs boss Glenn Hoddle.

Real have already turned down several approaches from clubs wanting to take Portillo on-loan.

West Ham boss Glenn Roeder confirmed his interest in the youngster last month.

Real are unlikely to part with Portillo, however a Spurs bid of £9 million could force the European champs into a rethink.
