Spurs Linked With Morientes Move

Tottenham have held talks with Real Madrid about a £15m move for Spanish international striker Fernando Morientes, according to reports.

Morientes' future would be in considerable doubt should Brazilian superstar sign for the European champions as is becoming increasingly likely.

It is believed that Tottenham's chairman Daniel Levy went to Madrid for talks with Real chief Jorge Valdano over the weekend.

The Premiership club, who are not in Europe this season, are desperate to add another striker to their squad before the start of the season.

It was revealed last week that Spurs made a move for Rivaldo, while they have been linked with Kevin Phillips and Robbie Keane amongst others.
