Speculation Mounts That Beckham Will Leave

David Beckham's future at Manchester United is as unclear as it has ever been in the iconic star's eventful career.

Reports suggest that a move away from Old Trafford is now inevitable and the likelihood that Real Madrid will be his next port of call is just as probable.

Speculation had been rife that the Spanish giants were eyeing a move for the England captain long before Sir Alex Ferguson inexplicably left him out of the starting line-up for Wednesday's titanic Champions League clash.

When the midfielder was introduced, to replace the clearly unfit Juan Sebastian Veron, he promptly bagged two goals, which did much to get one over Ferguson and to prove a point to those that doubted his worth after a weak performance in the Bernabeu two weeks earlier.

If tabloid reports are to believed a disillusioned Beckham met with his wife and agent following the seven-goal thriller to discuss his future, the outcome of which is said to be a demand to leave United.

Beckham's relationship with Ferguson has been patchy to say the least after a number of high profile fall-outs in the last few seasons. None more so than when Sir Alex kicked a boot into the face of his club's prize asset.

His future at Old Trafford does now some to be on its last legs, so it over to Real now to see if they'll follow up their vow and move for yet another superstar...
