Spanish Press: Giovani's Agent Suggests Madrid Move

Marca claims that Giovani dos Santos' agent, Pini Zahavi, sounded out the prospect of Real Madrid's signing his client.
However, the capital club has apparently rejected the idea outright.
Santos has publicly stated that he wishes to stay at Camp Nou, but with contractual renegotiations ongoing, the agent feels that looking elsewhere could be prudent.
As such, the interest of several English clubs is being courted, but the Madrid gambit appears to be dead in the water.
Giovani is expected to renew at Camp Nou in the coming weeks, but it's not 100% certain that the club and player can reach an accord. At the moment he is on a relatively modest contract with a low release clause; balance must be found.
In any case, Zahavi held Madrid's attention as he is known to them as a facilitator of Gonzalo Higuain's transfer last season, but it seems that, this time around ,there will be no move.
Giovani, a Mexican international, has started two Liga games this season and made a further ten appearances as a substitute.
