Spain squad buzzing over Real Madrid's Villa pursuit

Spain's squad was buzzing yesterday with news that Real Madrid are prepared to break the bank to lure star striker David Villa away from Valencia.

Real president Ramon Calderon, in a bid to bring more Spanish talent to the club, is prepared to bid big to land Villa, whose Los Che contract carries a £100 million buyout clause.

Marca says the news was the talk of Spain's squad yesterday, while Villa attempted to keep things low key.
