Spain leapfrog France in FIFA world rankings

Spain leapfrogged European champions France into the second spot in the FIFA world rankings released here on Wednesday.

World champions Brazil remain comfortably on top of the rankings with a 73-point lead on Spain, with France a further two points behind, in third.

In the top ten England drop one spot to ninth with Mexico overtaking them to move up into eighth position.
