Soldado Eager For Getafe Loan Move

Spanish sports daily Marca reports that out-of-favour Real Madrid striker Roberto Soldado would be ready and willing to move to mid-table Getafe on loan.

Marca contends that Soldado, eager for first team football, would love to join Getafe on loan.

The 22-year-old has played well under 90 minutes of Liga football for the blancos so far this season and, being eager both to progress his career and fight his way into contention for a place at Euro 2008, a loan move could be ideal.

At Getafe he would team up with fellow Madrid loanee Esteban Granero, as well as Bernabeu cantera product Ruben de la Red, who is subject to a buyback clause from Madrid.

Above all, he would most likely have a regular starting berth, most likely alongside Ikechukwu Uche.

Soldado rejected the idea of a loan move abroad, but Getafe, being within a few miles of Madrid, would suit the player far more.

However, all hinges on Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster. Should he deem Soldado too important to his plans, or think a move to his own former club unsuitable, then the Spanish international will go nowhere.
