Soldado delighted to sign new Real Madrid deal

Roberto Soldado has signed a new contract with Real Madrid through to 2012.

After spending last season on-loan at Osasuna, Soldado will be part of Bernd Schuster's Real squad this season.

"I am very pleased, it is what I wanted. I return to my home after a year with Osasuna, where I have developed a lot as a player. I promise a great amount of goals, but mainly I will work hard every day so that the coach trusts me. My objective is to win a position in the team.

"Ruud van Nistelrooy is an example for me and I will work very well by his side, just as I will with Raul."
