Sniejder: If I Leave Real Madrid, Inter Is A 'Nice' Option

Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder faces stiff competition for places this season after the arrivials of Xabi Alonso, Kaka, and Cristiano Ronaldo, but is still leaning towards remaining at the club, despite Inter's attempts to sign him.

"I don't know anything about a negotiation and I am happy to stay in Madrid," he said, according to Sky Sports.

"There are so many fantastic players, but I'm not afraid. The season is long. To have a problem ahead of the World Cup with the national team is a risk I could take, but for now the priority is to remain in Madrid. However, in two weeks everything can change."

Earlier today, reports emerged that los Blancos and the Nerezzurri had agreed a €19 million fee for the former Ajax star and it was now up to the player to decide whether he was interested in a move to the Italian champions.

"I have heard that [coach Jose] Mourinho considers me his first choice," he continued.

"He is a great coach that trains a great team. If I decide to leave Madrid, Inter would be a nice option."

Sneijder has also attracted interest from Chelsea over the summer, but has repeatedly stated his intention to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu.
