Sneijder struggling with Real Madrid pressure

Wesley Sneijder has admitted to Real Madrid coaching staff he is struggling with the weight of expectation from fans and the media.

The Dutch midfielder has drawn comparisons with Alfredo Di Stefano in the Madrid press and AS says he has confessed to Real coaches: "I feel distressed by the pressure of responsibility."

Sneijder is being hit by a crisis of confidence and both coach Bernd Schuster and sports director Pedja Mijatovic will speak with the midfielder in the coming days to convince to simply "get back to basics".
