Sneijder: Real Madrid greatest club in the world

Wesley Sneijder admits he's "nervous and tense" about joining Real Madrid.

The Ajax midfielder will be in Madrid today to complete his £17 million switch and told AS: "I am just a little bit nervous and tense because Real Madrid is the greatest club in the world, but after everything was solved I am very happy. I wanted to be a Real Madrid player and this desire has become reality."

"It's been a dream come true to join Real Madrid. You cannot ask for more."

"It'll be great to play with Ruud van Nistelrooy. He's my favourite player and a great person."

On working for coach Bernd Schuster, Sneijder added: "I do not know really what Schuster is like as a trainer, but there are people who know him and have told me he is a trainer with a great mentality, half Spanish and half German. He is a very organized coach, but I do not know how he coaches."
