Sir Alex jets to Paris as Man Utd bid £18M for Ronie

Manchester United must meet Paris Saint Germain's £18 million demands for Ronaldinho by tomorrow or risk losing the Brazilian to Real Madrid.

PSG president Francois Graille has issued the ultimatum as he seeks to finalise Ronaldinho's future before preseason training begins.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson jetted to Paris yesterday as talks threatened to collapse with Ronaldinho's French club.

"One way or another this transfer will be sorted out this week," Graille said.

"We've been in contact with the various interested clubs every day but I was not going to rush things. United will have to make a significant offer to persuade us to let Ronaldinho go and at the moment I am yet to receive that bid in writing."

"If nothing happens, I would expect to see the player back for pre-season training with the rest of the squad on Thursday."
