Seville's Daniel flattered by Real Madrid talk

Seville fullback Daniel Alves admits he is flattered to be linked with Real Madrid.

The arrival of Brazilian Vanderlei Luxemburgo as new Real Madrid coach has brought speculation linking Daniel with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, along with Seville's fellow Brazilians Renato and Julio Baptista.

"You can't give too much importance to these rumours, although it pleases me that they recognize my work," said Daniel. "All players aspire to play in a great team and also to win great things."

"When they talk of a team like Real Madrid, they're talking about one of those great teams that excites any player."
