Seville banned from stadium for four matches

Spanish first division club Seville have been banned from their Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium for the next four matches after violent incidents in the derby against Real Betis last weekend.

Also fining Seville 3,500 euros late on Friday, the Spanish Football Federation's president Fernando Sequeira said "there were a series of deficiencies in the application of the security measures on the part of the club."

One fan ran on to the pitch during the match and struck Betis goalkeeper Toni Prats before being arrested and a steward was beaten up by supporters before the game.

The match finished 1-1.
