Sevilla's Alves reveals Real Madrid offer

Sevilla fullback Daniel Alves has revealed he was set to join Real Madrid in the summer to replace Cicinho.

"The agreement depended on Cicinho," said the Brazilian. "It was not Sevilla that stopped the operation. I was sure that it was the moment for me to leave, Sevilla wanted to sell me for a very high price."

"However, I am happy here and if I do not leave the club this season I will remain so."
