Sevilla president cools Real Madrid talk for Rakitic

Sevilla president Jose Castro has dismissed rumours linking Ivan Rakitic to Real Madrid.

Real were linked with a move for the Croatia international last week.

But Castro insists: "I am convinced that Rakitic is going to stay with us. I am not aware that Real Madrid have been interested in him. He has publicly said he is happy at Sevilla and wants to continue."

"The last time I spoke to the agent of Rakitic, with his brother, was on Saturday."
