Sevilla offer £40M Alves for Real Madrid pair

Sevilla have contacted Real Madrid about opening negotiations for wing-back Daniel Alves.

After seeing talks with Chelsea stall yesterday, Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido called Real sports director Pedja Mijatovic to sound him out about their interest in the Brazilian.

Del Nido, says AS, told Mijatovic that Real could sign Daniel Alves for £17 million cash if he included Julio Baptista and Cicinho in their offer.

But Real won't consider Del Nido's proposal at the current rate as they value Baptista at £15 million and Cicinho at £8 million - which would effectively price Alves at a massive £40 million.
