Sensi baffled by shortage of Roma spirit

Roma president Franco Sensi was desolate after his side went down at home to Real Madrid on Tuesday night. "The team played without aggression," he admitted. "I don't know why."

Real were utterly dominant in the first half of the game at the Olympic Stadium and could have been out of sight by half-time, but Roma fought back having gone two down and almost nicked an equaliser.

"It looked like we were not in good physical shape. We had the same problems against Udinese on Saturday," added Sensi.

"But I have to admit that Real were stronger than us. They have a lot of fantastic talented players and we had to play aggressively to cause any kind of problems."
