Schuster slams Barcelona treatment of Ronaldinho

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has blasted the critics of fallen Barcelona star Ronaldinho.

Schuster, a former Barca midfielder, told AS: "What is happening is very difficult and unjust. They are doing to Ronaldinho just what they did me to me."

"It is not hard to remember that all the great players that have been playing there for thirty years have left the club through the back door."

"Ronaldinho has been great, changed the cycle for them, helped Barca win the Champions League and two Ligas."

"The worse thing is knowing how things at Barca are done, he will be neither the first nor the last one to receive this treatment."

Schuster added: "I am not going to deny that his form has dropped in the last months, but at his age it is absurd that they say he is finished."
