Schuster: Man Utd's Ronaldo would fit well in Real Madrid system

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster is staying calm over their pursuit of Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

He told Marca yesterday: "The Cristiano issue is something that does not concern nor haunts me."

"Until he appears in Madrid we have to wait, although it is clear that he would be a great signing and would fit well into the team's system."

Asked about Barcelona's spending spree, Schuster added: "After a difficult period, it's logical they would seek to make many changes to their squad. They have a greater need to strengthen than we do."
