Schuster Keen To Bounce Back Against Juve

Bernd Schuster believes that Real Madrid are ready to take on Juventus at the Bernabeu on Wednesday, and avenge the defeat they suffered in Italy two weeks ago.

Real Madrid's German coach Bernd Schuster is determined to see his side bounce back and secure a valuable three points against Juventus in Champions League Group H, after being held to a disappointing draw by Almería in the Primera Liga at the weekend.

Juve won the game when the teams met in Turin a fortnight ago and Schuster admits that the reverse caused his team's confidence to take a knock. Now the side are seeking a recovery.

"We have to start the game well. We already have a real desire and belief to win and we cannot let the three points escape us again," AS quote him as saying.

"That was a defeat that affected us because of how it happened, and I thought that we could have drawn."

"It was a loss that angered us and made us want to bounce back. We cannot wait around on Wednesday and we have to begin well and go straight at them."

"We know that it will be a difficult game. We saw in the first game just how hard they will make it and we have to find the answers because this is a vital match."

Since beating Madrid, la Vecchia Signora have gone on to record Serie A victories against Torino, Bologna and Roma and Schuster thinks that they will be full of confidence.

"There are many ways to recover your form and Juve did it in our Champions League game because wins are important," he continued.

"We have seen since then a Juve side that looked more assured, maybe not different, but certainly more assured and that is what good results give you."

Sergio Ramos has been criticised after publicly stating that he was unhappy with his current role at Madrid, and with the tactics, and Schuster thinks that the media should now stop.

"What has happened has been completely unjust. There was something last week that was dealt with internally, like it should be, and maybe people did not like that," the coach explained.

"The things that have gone on since are unusual and do not help the player. We are going to try and stay calm and play like we know we can."
