Schuster demands Real Madrid wrap up transfer plans

Bernd Schuster cut short his summer break to meet with Real Madrid directors this week over the progress of their transfer plans.

Marca says Schuster made it clear to his board that he wants all new arrivals settled by the start of preseason training on July 21.

"I have already said that only very few players will arrive," said Schuster last night. "We have to look for good ones, if there is one that can improve us in some of positions, although it is not easy, we'll try to bring him here."

"We must also think about the economic issue, because in football now for a player who can trap a ball they want a million and this is not right."
