Schuster congratulated Real Madrid players

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster congratulated his players at training yesterday for Saturday's opening Liga victory over Atletico.

Schuster called his squad together before training kicked off at 10am to say: "Well done to everyone. You are in good form. The fans at the Bernabeu enjoyed themselves and we've stopped this run of defeats (in preseason)."

"Little by little things are coming together for us. We must have patience in games and hold onto the ball. That will be our philosophy."

Schuster also assured his players that no more signings would arrive this week: "The squad is closed. This group is good enough to win the championship - and anyother title we go for."
