Scholl to play against Real Madrid after injury scare

Bayern Munich's Mehmet Scholl will play against Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal after recovering from an ankle injury, Bild newspaper reported on Wednesday.
Bild said Scholl, who had been doubtful for Wednesday's match, would start as a striker alongside Elber.

Owen Hargreaves replaces midfielder Stefan Effenberg, who is suspended after picking up a yellow card in last week's first leg. "Scholl told Bayern trainer Ottmar Hitzfeld 'No problem. I can play'," the newspaper said.
It added that he had been training in recent days. "The pain was tolerable," Scholl was quoted as saying. Bayern lead 1-0 after the first leg in Madrid.
