Schalke ponder bid for Real Madrid keeper Casillas

Schalke are lining up a January bid for Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas.

Sport 1 says Schalke are keeping tabs on Casillas' frustrations at Real and are actively discussing a bid for the Spain international at board level.

Arsenal and Liverpool are also monitoring Casillas' situation after he admitted this week: "Within three months if the situation does not change and I'm asked the same question, maybe the answer will be I'm thinking of leaving."
