Schalke GM: Demands from Real Madrid's Morientes are madness!

Schalke 04 GM Rudi Assuaer has described the personal terms demanded by Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes as "madness".

The ambitious Bundesliga club and Real had struck an agreement for Morientes.

But the player's personal demands are far too rich for Schalke, as Assuaer confirmed: "I never talk about figures in the public arena."

"But what he is asking is madness!"

It's been suggested Morientes is asking over £2.4 million-a-season to move to Germany.
