Schalke coach Magath keen to close deal for Real Madrid hero Raul

Schalke 04 coach Felix Magath has again urged Real Madrid legend Raul to make the move to Germany.

Raul has an offer on the table from Schalke as he prepares to cut ties with Real this summer.

Magath said: “He would come here [Schalke] because it he seeks a challenge to do well in the Champions League again. He wants to play and score goals.

"A player like him will always find motivation. He wants to play in the Champions League, and not make money by being a substitute."

"By playing in the Champions League, it makes it easier to imagine Raul joining us, we have this great opportunity and we must seize it. Otherwise, it would be impossible."
