Saviola delighted with first days at Real Madrid

Javier Saviola is delighted with his first days as a Real Madrid player.

The Argentine striker completed a controversial Bosman move from Barcelona earlier this month and is now taking part in Real's preseason camp in Austria.

"All the players have treated me very well. I understand this preseason as a time to get to know the squad and the coach. Now I want to prepare myself physically, that is fundamental. I am happy because everything that is happening to me is very nice," said Saviola.

The striker is confident he can handle the pressure over his switch from the Nou Camp.

"I believe that it has to do fundamentally with my mentality. Argentine soccer is very competitive and we have that winning and positive mentality. I want to enjoy this season and hope the fans enjoy the way we play. I will try to give it everything."
