The pint-sized Brazilian international is well down the pecking order at the Bernebeu with the likes of Steve McManaman and Santiago Solari preferred on the left hand side.
However, despite reports to the contary Savio told spanish newspapers that he is happy to stay in Madrid.
"I like this city and I like the Real supporters. I don't see any reason to quit now," he said.
"My intention is to end my contract, which runs until June 2003."
The 27-year-old has 25 caps for Brazil and moved to Real in 1997 from Flamengo.
