Brazilian midfielder Savio Bortolini, on loan from Real Madrid to French side Bordeaux, said Monday he was giving the clubs two weeks to reach agreement on his transfer to France, his agent Joao Areias told AFP.
The 29-year-old's loan is due to expire on June 30, with the French club having until Tuesday to exercise its option to buy.
However, the two clubs have not yet reached an agreement as Bordeaux is trying to lower the asking price.
"At the end of the contract Savio is free. But as he wants to stay with the club where he feels good and our relationship with Bordeaux is excellent, I contacted the club bosses to tell them that Savio will not negotiate with anyone until April 30.
"After we'll study the offers," said Areias.
A former Brazilian international with 37 caps for his national side, Savio arrived as a star in Real Madrid in 1997 from Flamengo, but never managed to integrate into the club.
