Sao Paulo offer Lugano to Real Madrid

Sao Paulo have invited Real Madrid to make an offer for their defender Diego Lugano.
 
The Uruguay international has been likened to former Juventus favourite Paolo Montero and recently acquired an Italian passport.

Sao Paulo have made contact with Real through intermediaries to make them aware of Lugano's availability. But Juventus and Barcelona are also interested in the stopper.

Smoothing negotiations for European clubs is that Sao Paulo control Lugano's entire registration, a rare case for South American players.
