Sanz slams Real Madrid president Perez over Eto'o sale

Former Real Madrid president Lorenzo Sanz has criticised Florentino Perez for allowing Samuel Eto'o to join Barcelona last year.

Sanz, now owner of Serie A club Parma, rapped: "Not to have retained a player like Samuel Eto'o was a terrible mistake."

"He is a player who would have loved to have been in Madrid and he would have played for us with great passion."

"Now he is with Barca and I believe that he will do great damage to us (Madrid)."
