Santos chief: Luxemburgo on brink at Real Madrid

Santos have opened the door to a return for Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

After the resignation of Nelsinho Baptista over the weekend, Santos chief Francisco Lopes declared: "There (in Madrid) championships can be lost, but you can't afford to lose to Barcelona."

"I have information that Vanderlei is staggering and the door is open to him here."

"Everyone loves Vanderlei here, especially (president Marcelo) Teixeira."
