Santander ahead of Middlesbrough for Real Madrid's Munitis

Middlesbrough and Racing Santander are going head-to-head for Real Madrid winger Pedro Munitis.

The Spanish international has been told to find another club by Real officials and can leave on a free transfer.

Racing are willing to offer Munitis a long-term contract, however Boro would prefer a season-long loan with the option of making the deal permanent next summer.

Meanwhile, another Real fringe player, Julio Caesar, has agreed terms with Real Valladolid.

The Brazilian defender was linked with Bolton Wanderers over the weekend.
