Salgado rules out Real Madrid exit

Real Madrid fullback Michel Salgado has confirmed he won't be joining Juventus in January.
 
The Spain right-back's future in the Spanish capital has been the subject of much scrutiny following the signing of Brazil international Cicinho and Uruguayan full-back Carlos Diogo this summer.

The £18.4million signing of Sergio Ramos, who can play at right-back or at centre-back, has also put pressure on Salgado.

"I don't worry much about what people say - that is a problem for the press and the club," said Salgado, who started for Spain in their 1-1 draw with Serbia & Montenegro in midweek.

"I have a deal for four more years and I am going to fight hard for my place. I don't care who comes here."

"It is not a problem for me that Madrid are signing right-backs because I am not the person who picks the team and I don't want explanations from anyone."

"All I have to do is play football and anything else is a question for the club or whoever."
