Salgado: Real Madrid have shown spirit for title fight

Real Madrid match-winner Michel Salgado says they're still breathing down the necks of Primera leaders Barcelona.

After his dramatic winner on Saturday against Villarreal, the Spanish international fullback said: "The way we have won indicates that we have the desire and spirit to fight for the Liga."

"We are all conscious that we need to keep the pressure on. There are enough games left and nothing still has been settled."

"Yesterday we showed the spirit that we want the Liga and can win all the games left. It is important to continue like this until the end."

He added: "We won through spirit and heart. We didn't play technically brilliantly, but our determination got us over the line."
