Salgado happy to begin Real Madrid replay 1-0 down

Real Madrid and Spanish international fullback Michel Salgado believes Saturday's blackout at Real Betis "cannot be taken lightly".

Surprisingly, Salgado also suggested that the game begin again at 1-0 to Betis: "I would prefer we renewed the game at 1-0, which reflected the correct scoreline."

He added, "We could not do anything. It has never happened to me in my career."

"It was a very uncomfortable situation because you could not finish your warm-up, the game was delayed 15 minutes and there's always the chance when you're playing that the lights would go out ... which was very dangerous."

"Perhaps it hurts us that people see we were 1-0 down. But that did not reflect how the game was going. We had three opportunities to score, which were well saved."

"We are pleased with our performance, but unhappy with the result."
