Salgado happy he stayed with Real Madrid

Michel Salgado is happy he chose to stay at Real Madrid.

The fullback said: "I did consider leaving because over the summer it appeared I would be fourth or fifth-choice right-back. I was scared that I would have to leave."

"But I feel part of the team and the truth is that the coach (Bernd Schuster) has never said he wasn't counting on me."
