Salgado dismisses Ronaldo's Real Madrid criticism

Michel Salgado has dismissed quotes attributed to Ronaldo that he feels more comfortable playing with Brazil than Real Madrid.

Asked why he is a regular goal scorer with his national team, in contrast with Real, Ronaldo said this week: "The Brazilian national team knows how to play with me."

Quizzed about the report yesterday, Real teammate Salgado said: "When he says that here, I will answer him."

"But when somebody is away from the club, there are always these quotes that appear in the press."

"In this case, those declarations of Ronaldo, I believe, are not accurate. The only thing that interests me is that he scores goals for Real Madrid."

On Saturday's big match with Barcelona, Salgado added, "It's very difficult to play at the Nou Camp."

"But last season we did very well there twice and left very happy."

"Of course we're going there to win, but Barcelona will also be expecting to get something from the game."
