On Thursday, the Chilean striker said: "I know nothing for the moment, but I think we'll have a new meeting today or tomorrow at the most to decide what to do."
"I believe I have the right to go on vacation knowing where I'll be playing next year."
Salas however says that if Dino Zoff and the management give him a chance to stay at Lazio, he would take it:
"I would gladly stay at Lazio, but if that's not possible, then I believe an offer like Real Madrid's could be appealing. I believe it would be for any player, and I'm very flattered that they have asked for me."
"I still haven't spoken to the president but I know that Zoff would want me to stay and this could be a good reason not to leave."
