Salamanca eye Real showdown

Copa del Rey giantkillers Salamanca scored a vital second round win against Celta Vigo yesterday and now have their sights set on Real Madrid.

Salamanca, currently mid-table in La Segunda, had to wait until extra-time to knock out Celta, with Peruvian Pablo Zegarra netting after 118 minutes of deadlock.

Team coach Baltasar Sanchez said afterwards that he thought his men deserved the victory and were the superior outfit on the night.

"I still haven't had time to think about our next rivals but being drawn against Real Madrid would suit us down to the ground," Balta said.

Just 7 clubs from La Primera are left in the competition - Real, Athletic Bilbao, Rayo, Mallorca, Deportivo, Valladolid and Villarreal.
